tasteofalife[Whenever a magus is practicing magic, it was important for one to set up a boundary field to prevent those who could come in or get out. If one weren't a novice, then they could easily keep monsters from breaking into their training field. However, the magus who was training in question might've slipped up which had attracted certain monsters who were desiring flesh and mana. Yes, Barbara was going to be a feast for various monsters who happened to pick up on her scent. Tonight would be a short banquet for them as they swarmed around her and were ready to pounce.
But little did they know and little did the young magus know... The place where Barbara was training happened to right over a set of ancient ruins which lurked underground. There were fairy tales and rumors about an ancient Majin who went on a rampage and nearly destroyed the universe once, but no one knew what happened to it. That's why many had dismissed it as hearsay in modern times. But the wheels of reincarnation never stop and the God of Fate had a twisted sense of humor at times. Barbara's quiet prayer triggered a bright flash of light as if an angel was truly descending from the heavens to answer her plea...
But the figure before her was no angel. As the light fades, a pale young man with piercing red eyes stood in place. He growls irritably as he cracks his neck in place with one hand. It's a little unsettling with the sounds of bones cracking from there for the average person, but for him? This ragged and worn out body was the norm. He hasn't noticed the young girl on the ground behind him yet. Zed's first impulse to anything that was showing him killing intent was to respond back in kind.]
