Mar. 21st, 2020 08:46 pm[Takahisa was used to fighting street thugs in alleyways and monsters, but this new new world that he stepped into had really threw him for a loop. It was a similar sensation whenever he fought his battles within the Red Night. Within that other dimension, the laws of the universe were turned upside its head. Time had slowed down, the buildings, sky and streets had turned crimson and it became harder to breathe. Even strange monsters would show up to attack you! In time, a person could grow used to it all if you had a strong power or a spectacular mental fortitude...
However, Takahisa's life was anything beyond normal. He was pretty used to surviving out in the cold world like a wild dog without a leash. But according to the rules of nature, all wild animals would eventually fall prey to a much bigger beast. As he went through the strange labyrinth, Takahisa was burning down the familiars along the way. It was strange how they were similar compared to the Larvae of the Red Night. It didn't fully register how dangerous the situation was until he discovered the Witch waiting at the end.
Despite having power, his body was still quite human... And he realized that his pyrokinesis abilities wasn't enough to take it down on his own. His fight against the Witch resulted in him being blasted around and blown away. He could taste blood in his mouth mixed in with dirt. How many times had he experienced this feeling until now? Am I gonna die here for real? Who's gonna look after Ema?! He had faded into unconsciousness before seeing a flash of blue...
Then he opened his eyes to an unfamiliar ceiling. This wasn't a bed that he was familiar with and he could feel bandages on his body. At the very least, Takahisa could conclude that the monster was gone... But there was a much bigger question on his mind.]
--Huh? Just... where the hell am I?! What the fuck just happened?!
